Role Overview
The Customer Service Assistant plays a key role in delivering a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable experience for all visitors to the shopping centre. The role involves providing information, resolving customer queries, and supporting centre operations while representing the shopping centre in a professional and friendly manner.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for customers at the information desk, via phone, email, or in person
Provide accurate information on store locations, opening times, promotions, events, and centre facilities
Assist customers with directions, accessibility support, lost property, and general enquiries
Handle customer complaints, concerns, and incidents calmly and professionally, escalating when required
Support centre initiatives such as gift card sales, competitions, and events
Monitor and report issues within the centre, including maintenance, cleanliness, and safety concerns
Liaise with retailers, security, cleaning, and management teams to resolve customer issues efficiently
Maintain accurate records of incidents, enquiries, lost property, and feedback
Uphold the shopping centre’s brand standards, customer service values, and appearance guidelines
Requirements
Availability on Saturdays and/or Sunday
Professional, customer-friendly demeanour and appearance
Strong customer service skills
Willing to work a flexible schedule
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Experience with Microsoft Office/Word
Phone etiquette and call management skills
